8:59pm — The strangest thing happened just now. I was scheduled to call my son, Austin tonight between 8:00 and 8:30, like we had already set up. There have been times in the past when I called without an answer and Austin would call back within a couple minutes. Tonight, that didn’t happen. I called, got no answer. I waited a few minutes. Then I texted her and apologized if I had missed a text from her. Last week, she abruptly informed me at the last minute that Austin would not be able to talk. I didn’t really make much of that. I texted her a couple more times asking if I should have called her new husband’s phone, still no response. I then concluded by texting that I hoped everything was ok, and that I will try again next week.

10:31pm — I had to take Coco to the vet today because he’s been sick with what I believe is something called “kennel cough”. He’s been coughing and sometimes spitting up phlegm. He’s been laying around the apartment sleeping all day long. Earlier today, even, he didn’t even want to go outside! I’ve never seen that before. The vet gave me some anti-biotics which he will have to take for the next 10 days.
