8:59pm — The strangest thing happened just now. I was scheduled to call my son, Austin tonight between 8:00 and 8:30, like we had already set up. There have been times in the past when I called without an answer and Austin would call back within a couple minutes. Tonight, that didn’t happen. I called, got no answer. I waited a few minutes. Then I texted her and apologized if I had missed a text from her. Last week, she abruptly informed me at the last minute that Austin would not be able to talk. I didn’t really make much of that. I texted her a couple more times asking if I should have called her new husband’s phone, still no response. I then concluded by texting that I hoped everything was ok, and that I will try again next week.
